Q1. Could you explain why you made the figure of Musashi Miyamoto this time?
First of all, I myself really like Bagabondo by manga artist Inoue.
I have worked as a prototype designer for ten years, I always have dreamt of making the figure some day. I tried to make the figure, because it may be that we can commercialize the figure. But, honestly speaking, I have never expected manga artist Inoue evaluate my figure.
Q2. What comment do you have with the determination of commercial realization?
I have never heard or dreamt of the commercialization of the figure. I thought I was lucky if manga artist Inoue caught glimpse of my figure. I was really surprised to hear he wanted to commercialize my figure!
Q3. What were you mostly careful of, or what did you have difficulty in building the prototype of Musashi Miyamoto, main character of Bagabondo?
After all, I found the difficulty in expressing the world view of manga artist Inoue, or in exactly expressing the body, which was delicately drawn, I presumed. Or, it was difficult to express actual image though the front face and the side face didn't match in a good sense in manga, but it was interesting at the same time.
Q4. Bagabondo is the story to describe Musashi Miyamoto's growing. Did you image how old Musashi is in the original?
I had a image of Musashi, who was around the time before Musashi fought with 70 swordsmen in Yoshioka.
Q5. I heard you visited the Reigando where Musashi spent a few years in his late life. Do you always gather for an article when you build up your work?
Quite frankly, I visited the Reigandoafter I finished my work, I was impressed to imagine Musashi lived here. Most of my usual objects in my job are the animated characters. If I want to visit their places, I can't, because such worlds really don't exist.
Q6. Musashi was a sword fighter of two swords. What is Mr. Suzuki good at?
As for my favorite, I will go to mountine or sea while I am free. I like outdoor activity very much. I am often pointed out as a restless person.
Q7. What prototype have you ever built? Mecha, beautiful girl,creature... and so on.
I have built prototypes in animated character, hero in live-action, beautiful girls and related to, monster, dinosaur and mecha.
I didn't care whatever area.
Q8. What area are you good at? Or, could you tell me the theme you get excited at while you are building?
might be good at the prototype in real world. But, anyway, I will get excited at the work of Manga artist Inoue.
Q9. How long does it take to complete the prototype of one body?
I can finish the prototype in five days or six days in my usual job. I presume I used around one month for Musashi this time.
Q10. Finally, could you give your fans a word of greeting?
Please give my best wishes to my fans.
